What is NLP & Hypnotherapy?
Neurolinguistics Programming or NLP for short is the study of our neurochemistry and the way in which words can impact how we view the world from the inside out.
For example - the word "Success" has a different meaning to everybody and depending on the culture, the way we were raised, our past, and the relationship with the words we use can have a different impact on each of us.
NLP is also the study and use of specific techniques that allow the words we use to change the neurological wiring and patterns in our minds.
Clinical Hypnosis - Hypnotherapy
What's been your experience with hypnosis?
If it's anything like our other clients, it's usually what you've seen in movies or on stages, isn't it?
Hypnotherapy is a remerging therapeutic modality and has sound science to explain why it works so well.
During Hypnosis, the left side of the brain (logic, reasoning, analysis) quiets down and the right side of the brain (creativity, imagination, abstract thought) opens up and becomes a catalyst for suggestion.
With the critical part of your brain quiet, your mind is open to suggestions such as "Yes you CAN do this." and "You ARE capable" instead of the part you are used to hearing that says "No you really can't."
When you are given suggestions during hypnosis, you have a much higher chance of believing the suggestion as though it is true rather than questioning whether it is or isn't.
This means that if you wanted to lose weight, for example, the mere suggestion of no longer having food cravings and only wanting to eat healthy food will resound as true for you, without taking into question whether that is really how you felt; instead, the suggestion itself becomes your new belief and habit!
